Class Description: Join Mrs. Brown as she leads students on a 30-week writing journey using IEW’s Structure and Style approach. Students reading at a 6th - 8th grade level who are new to the Structure and Style for Students video course will benefit from SSS 1B's incremental and effective writing lessons. The curriculum provides clear daily assignments, vocabulary words, and literature suggestions. The course will cover all nine IEW units, author spotlights, grammar using Fix It! Grammar, and research with MLA documentation.

Parent Involvement: Parent involvement is critical to student success. Parents are responsible for ensuring their student completes homework between each class. Parents also review each paper and serve as editors for their students. 

Payment: Once you enroll, an invoice for the class will be sent. A non-refundable $50 deposit will hold your student's spot in the class. The final payment is due in full by July 31st. If the payment is not received, the student's spot will be released to a student on the waiting list. If you are using charter school funds, please email Mrs. Brown to make payment arrangements.
