Happy E3 Friday!
Here are two ways to stay equipped, encouraged, and engaged as you help your student improve their writing this week.
Stay Equipped
Whose story inspired you? Would you like to share your story to help inspire others? I am looking for parents who want to share their experience using the Institute for Excellence in Writing or their experience on my writing team with others. Contact me here.
If you'd like to know my story, I was recently interviewed about my homeschooling journey. You can watch the interview for free today only. Watch it today.
Stay Encouraged
Education must not simply teach work - it must teach life. ~ W. E. B. Du Bois
"Homeschooling is like a rollercoaster – there are ups and downs, but in the end, it's worth it." – Unknown (share this on Instagram)
Journal: What is one thing you can be proud of yourself for accomplishing this school year?
Stay Engaged
1. Join my parent huddles this summer: Whether you're a homeschooling parent or one who works outside the home, this journey of teaching our children how to write well is richer when we connect with others on the same path. These parent huddles will keep you equipped and encouraged so we can start the school year strong.
2. "I am proud of myself for learning how to write an entire five-paragraph essay well. I am so much better than I was last year!" This was the response from many of my students this year. Join my writing team and register for fall IEW online writing classes. This upcoming school year I'll be offering SSS1A, SSS2A, SSS1B, SSS2B, and U.S. History-Based Writing.
Until Next Week,
Mrs. Brown
